User Guide

Welcome to TaxTrace

TaxTrace is a read-only compliance and tax-reporting engine for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) on Robinhood Chain. It produces IRS Form 8949 and Schedule D, plus Koinly, TurboTax, CSV, and JSON exports — with §1091 wash-sale handling, FIFO or SPEC_ID cost basis, and Merkle-anchored report hashes via the Reporter.

This guide is written for customers. You don't need to write code or deploy anything. Point TaxTrace at a wallet address (or use a venue's multi-tenant API). TaxTrace never holds funds, never executes or proposes trades, and never asks anyone to sign a swap.

What TaxTrace does for you, in one paragraph

TaxTrace indexes on-chain and venue activity read-only, builds lot-level tax records, applies your cost-basis method and wash-sale rules, and exports filing-grade reports you can hand to your accountant or import into tax software. Report hashes can be verified against the on-chain Merkle anchor written by the Reporter.
